The Regional Wellbeing Survey has partnered with Carers Australia to conduct a national survey into the wellbeing of carers and their support services. The Caring for Others & Yourself: Carer Wellbeing Survey asks people to share their experiences – past and present – of being a carer and the support services they use.
Results from the 2021 carer wellbeing survey can be found here:
Caring for other people can take many forms, and so can the benefits and challenges that come with providing care to another person. The 2021 Carer Wellbeing Survey asked about the types of care provided to others, and the types of supports or services accessed in caring roles, including the Australian Government Carer Gateway.
This project extends on previous work undertaken as part of the Regional Wellbeing Survey, which identified that carers living in rural and regional areas often experience challenges to their wellbeing, and described how these challenges varied for different carers.
